A fur ball who brought in lots of happiness

Dora came into their family 9 years ago when Juna was depressed about her miscarriage. They checked on the Quicker app and found a dealer and went to pick a shih tzu. There were two female Shihtzu who looked exactly the same which created a confusion as to whom to choose. Then Dora looked at them and wagged her tiny tail and that second they decided that she is their baby girl and brought her home.

Juna was scared of dogs from childhood and she could never imagine having a pet at home but her husband loved dogs and always wanted to have one as a pet. “Everything changed around us, we started buying things, toys, food which will keep Dora happy. Dora doesnt like us leaving her alone when we go on trips so we started finding pet friendly stays just for taking her along with us. Most of the stays do not allow pets so we had to sacrifice staying at good resorts just for our Dora but without her staying anywhere does not bring us joy,” shared Juna.

She also said, “We both go to work and when we return the way she expresses her love and happiness always gives us the thought that there is this one soul waiting for us to return home everyday. Dora made me forget that I had a miscarriage and filled our home with peace and love. She has been our lucky charm from the time she came into our life, everything changed after she came, God blessed us with a baby girl and the first word my daughter uttered was Dora. I believe my happy life today is a gift from God for accepting Dora into our life.”

Juna expressed that once they had been to Kerala to their home and they were sitting outside on the verandah and talking with their relatives. It was around 10 pm in the night when Dora spotted a cat and ran after her. They couldn't track where she ran and it was dark everywhere. “Me, my husband and my daughter were in tears because if we are not able to find her she will not survive that night. It's a place where there are a lot of foxes around at night. Finally, we found her and that was the day we realized we just can't be without her,” concluded Juna.
