Abhinaya and her sister always wanted a pet. However, from a young age, they preferred adopting a pet rather than buying one. They used to collect pet-adoption newspaper articles and finally, in 2007, they learned about the Humane Animal Society (HAS) in Coimbatore through a friend.
(HAS is a group of people who believe that the power of compassion, love, and kindness will make a meaningful and positive difference in the lives of the animals around us. They strive to rescue, treat, rehabilitate, feed, and love the animals that need them the most.)
When they went to HAS, it was "love at first sight" for them! Before, Julie would greet everyone who entered HAS from the front of the building. She was such a joyful puppy and would jump up and down, inviting everyone to pet her. They made the decision to take this lovely angel home right away. The nicest thing to ever happen to their family was Julie. She is the friendliest and most devoted dog they have ever encountered.
“Little did we know that Julie would become a true game changer, teaching us the profound meaning of unconditional love and leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. Julie was more than just a pet; she radiated light and brought endless joy,” stated Abhinaya.
Through Julie's influence, Abhinaya wanted to be the voice of the voiceless- as an advocate for animal, spreading hope to those in need.
Julie was diagnosed with kidney failure a few months back and was undergoing treatment for the same. She crossed the rainbow bridge 2 months back, at the age of 17. The memories she left back and the void she had left in their hearts can never be replaced. “Our whole family is so blessed and grateful to have had this angel in our life. She will forever remain an angel in our lives, guiding and inspiring us every single day,” shared Abhinaya.
