It was on July 21st, 2018, when Zarina Ali decided to bring home a puppy, an adorable Pomeranian named Snoopy. She's a lively little girl and responds to various nicknames like Snoopa, Choopi, and Choopa. Snoopy is like the rowdy baby of their family, and having her has been the best decision.
When Zarina's family got Snoopy, they didn't know much about pets, so they bought her from a breeder. However, they soon learnt about the issues surrounding pet shops and breeders.
Speaking to PawsAyur, Zarina said, "We regret our initial choice and now strongly support adopting pets instead. In addition to Snoopy, we welcomed Rio, a Golden Retriever, into our family. Rio was abandoned at around 7-8 months old."
Snoopy and Rio have formed a great bond and enjoy playing together. Their experience with pets has made them more empathetic, extending their care to all living beings.
"One day, my mom rescued a tiny mouse from a garden, highlighting our newfound sensitivity towards even the smallest creatures", said Zarina adding that they actively help injured animals and feed 5-10 stray dogs and cats daily.
"Carrying dog food with us wherever we go allows us to provide a meal to hungry dogs we come across. While we may not be able to solve all their problems, we can offer a meal to make their day a bit better", shared Zarina who hails from Hyderabad.
In an effort to make a difference, they also fostered two puppies, Lola and Dino, nursing them back to health. Sadly, they couldn't find adopters, so they became part of their family.
After knowing Indies, Zarina suggests people to adopt and give life to them. She believes that her four dogs brought luck and prosperity into their lives. They decided to purchase just one puppy and others selected them as family. Our new found love for these little ones will be always there as long as we live, she shared.
Zarina's dad who is 75 yrs old never loved animals. Now, he started to feed few dogs near his house after spending time with the pets.People should have pets to know what true love looks like!
Zarina hopes that their story inspires others to consider adoption and kindness towards animals.
