Meet Archana’s ‘Flurry’ friend who multiplies joy in her life

Hello, pet lovers: Join us on this journey as we celebrate the unique and transformative relationship between humans and their pets. Prepare to be inspired, moved, and reminded of the incredible gift that pets bring to our lives.

Like everyone else, Archana had a fear of pets since she was a child. She would run away from the street dogs and try to scare them away. She knew very little about how to take care of dogs in general.

In December 2018, Archana’s brother-in-law brought home a three-month-old puppy (Flurry) with the intention that her nephew would learn to love animals. The puppy started living with them for a few days and then due to the joint family setup, some members were not happy with a dog living in the house and decided to gift it to someone.

When her nephew and she found out they were giving the puppy away to someone, they both burst into tears, made a big fuss about it, and finally made Flurry stay with them.

“I still remember the first day Flurry came home. He was so nervous and scared. But it barely took him time to get along with us and start his mischievous journey with us,” shared Archana while speaking to PawsAyur.

Flurry’s favourite thing to do is steal food from the pooja room, like panch amrita prasad, coconuts, bananas, etc. His excitement at seeing the family coming home every day has never diminished. He is just as excited as the first day he saw the family members coming home.

Flurry loves tummy rubs, kisses, car rides, everyday walks, jumping around the house, rubbing himself on the floor, chewing on their socks, bras, and scarves, and playing with balloons.

Flurry is very popular with neighbor kids and cousins, he has his own friends: Baloo his first friend, Oscar, Tiger, Lilly, Benji, Max is his best friend who loves to lick Flurry’s face.

In 2021, Leia entered Flurry’s life to woo him with her aura, cuteness, innocence, and love. Flurry and Leia were blessed with 11 puppies in 2021. Archana added, “We were fortunate to keep his daughter Cherry and son Leo with us for a few months before we could hand them over to my friends.”

“Flurry has always been our strength. This house is nothing without him, he owns this house and thanks to him there is love, laughter, and joy in our lives, even in difficult times,” shared Archana as she signed off.
