Yash has had Zeus since the past 4 years and says that it has been the best 4 years of his life. He cannot imagine coming home and not being greeted by a wagging tail.
They got Zeus when they were in Kalikiri, Andhra Pradesh, when his mother spotted him on the street side. Puppies didn’t usually survive in the area so his mother brought him home. Yash was overwhelmed by the chubbiness and his vocals as he was quite the crybaby in the beginning.
And then along with Zeus, they also got Bruno who has been in and on and off friendship with him ever since. Yashica said that he had been begging his parents for a dog since he was eight years old and finally after 7 years of constant nagging, he felt loved and complete.
However, the difficulties faced were quite challenging as only his mother had some experience with dogs and they were quite new to it. "I remember staying up all night to have the pups quiet down for the first few weeks of them coming into our lives," shared Yash.
The family lived in a remote area before Vizag so due to less social interactions, Zeus had become aggressive towards anything that moved and was not human. That has been the biggest hurdle in their lives.
"We took him to many trainers but they all said its too late to train him now. Then I decided to take some more time off my day for an hour including the walks to just have him sit and have the usual dog walker pass by. I would reward him every time he listened. Now at least we don’t have to completely change our walk track every time we saw another dog walker," said Yash reminiscing the old days.
If two people are talking in the house then Zeus has to be there no matter what. He listens as if he were to conclude the conversation and he is the heart of any gathering we have at home.
